Are you ready for some football!

It has finally arrived...football season! You're thinking NFL, right? Around here we've been waiting not so patiently for Upward football to begin. Tryouts were in July - a whole month ago! And Hank has asked almost every day when he would start practice.

Shane and Jake opted to stay home so it was just me and Hank. We got there at 4:55 for a 5 pm start, and the parking lot was all but empty. Not a good feeling. A few phone calls later and there was some confusion, it starts at 6, sorry we told you the wrong time. Thankfully it was just the two of us. If I had needed to entertain all three littles for an hour in a parking lot, I might of gone crazy.

Another little guy showed up with a football so they played catch until the rest of the team came.

Hangin' with the boyz

To say that he's excited about his uniform is an understatment. He started putting it on in the truck on the way home.  His favorite part is the wrist band. It has a clear window and they put their plays in it like 'real football players.'

I think it's going to be a fun season!

Aw, that's awesome! I love that he is so thrilled with his uniform.

I never knew the players had plays in bracelets - I learned something new!

He wants to be a pro football player. Maybe one day you all can say you knew him when... :)
