Fit Momma - week 3

Well, the best laid plans don't always go as we hope. I was running my 4 miles on Thursday like a good girl, stepped on a rock and sprained my ankle.

Saw the 'foot guy' today and it's 2 weeks of no running- but I can bike and lift weights. Then it's 1 week of running with the brace on the treadmill. After that I can start back to regular running.

This is a disappointing set back, but it could be much worse. I plan to use the next two weeks to focus more on my nutrition. I dusted off my juicer earlier this week so it's a good time to get back into the swing of juicing and making sure I'm drinking enough water. And I have more flexibility with biking because I can ride sooner after eating than when I run.

So this week didn't go as I would have preferred, but it's also not the end of the world. :)

Be sure to go to Denise's blog and see what other Fit Mommy's are doing!

Ouch! Sorry about your ankle.

Good for you on the decision to focus on the nutrition for the time being. You won't lose momentum that way! I love your good attitude!

Happy biking!

That's such a bummer about your ankle! :( May you recover swiftly!

Like Heidi said, that's excellent that you're taking this time to focus on nourishing your body. It needs every bit of "oomph" it can get to aid in healing. Great job!

And double kudos to you for not letting your workouts slack due to injury. Now THAT'S some seriously admirable determination right there!

See you next week...

Hope your ankle gets better. I hate it when an injury (or even an illness) gets in the way of exercising!
