Ella's Birthday, Part 1

Ella's birthday isn't until this Saturday but we had her family party at Dee Dee's house this past Sunday.

We're blessed to have a large family and the kids love having lots of aunts, uncles and cousins. They super duper love going to Dee Dee's (Bill's mom) farm on the eastern shore. And Shane over the moon, super duper loves when Uncle Mark brings his 'motorcycle' (4 wheeler).

The 3 littlest going for a drive (no keys, they're just pretending)

The big kids have recently started playing paintball so they cleared the underbrush out in a section of the woods so they could run around and act like little kids (which is a lot of fun, by the way).

Brett and Brandon coming back to the house after running out of ammo

After playing and having fun it was time to open presents. Ella was so proud that she could read the cards herself. I can't believe she's getting so big!

Always read the card before opening the gift.
She hasn't decided if she wants to grow her bangs out or not and she lost her barrette.

Last  year she wanted a Mulan birthday and Dee Dee pulled some magic out of a hat to create a gorgeous cake. This year Ella wanted something much easier to find....Tinkerbell. Dee Dee was quite relieved!

Waiting until it's time to blow out the candles on her fairy cake

She can't wait for her real birthday this Saturday and reminds each day what the countdown is. So cute!
