6 miles, football, and a car wash

It was kind of nice to wake up a normal hour on a Saturday and need to run just 6 miles. It helped that we didn't need to be anywhere until 11am. It was a pretty uneventful run. I didn't get hit by a car or keel over on a hill. I'm still experimenting with Gu and the flavor of the day was Tri Berry with caffieine.  It actually didn't taste too bad and it didn't mess with my stomach at all. Always a bonus!

Next on the menu was Hank's football game which didn't start until 11. We still haven't figured out how the scoring/extra points works. There are times it looks like they score and make an extra point and then the ref says something -that we can't hear - and all the boys look disappointed so who knows what's happening out there.

They are running around having a good time and that's what I like to see.

After the game, Bill and Hank hopped in the car and headed to Brunswick. Hank's Cub Scout Pack had a fundraiser car wash.  We were tempted to blow it off, but I figured we haven't turned in our paperwork to formally join which means we haven't paid our dues so we need to score all the brownie points we can with the administration.

I ran a couple of errands with the other kids and then took the truck up to be washed.  Ella was happy to stand by and watch...it was a bunch of stinky boys, afterall. But Shane was all over  it. I think we paid $5 for our own 4 y/o to wash our car. Oh well, it's for a good cause.
