It was too pretty to stay inside

We got up early this morning and got started on our schoolwork right away so we could spend the afternoon playing.

I have to say it was nice to be done for the day at 11:30. I went for a run; we ate lunch and then headed to the C&O Canal towpath.

A train went by soon after we got out of the car

Ella thought she and Hank were racing so she took off while the boys just watched her run away.

Thankfully Jake tagged along so Shane could hitch a ride. The older I get the heavier Shane gets.

The tow path was in great shape considering all the snow, wind and rain we've had. We didn't see very many birds and it's too early for turtles so we'll have to check back every day that the weather is nice. :)
