Early Christmas at Grandpop's Winter House

According to the kids, Grandpop's summer house is Broomes Island. So where he really lives in Annapolis is of course his winter house, and that's where we were on Sunday afternoon. A day after the BLIZZARD OF 2009 (say that with a big booming voice for the proper effect).

The roads in Annapolis were barely plowed so it made for some interesting driving. Thankfully we made it in one piece and had a great time hanging out with Grandpop and Lisa.

Ella and Jennifer playing with all sorts of animated Christmas animals that sing very loudly

Showing me his grape juice (+ white carpets = nervous momma)

Aunt Honey throwing back some adult beverages

The girls with their creatures

Cousin Brett who can be counted on for a good throw down tackle whenever Hank or Shane need it

Guess what's on the TV? If you guessed football, you are correct!

Shane told Grandpop that Uncle Mark needed a glass out of the china cabinet. Grandpop would hand him one, and Shane would take it to Mark (who hadn't asked for it) and then go back for another. He did this twice before Grandpop got wise to him.

We had a great time and can't wait to see Grandpop again on Christmas Eve to see more extended family and eat lots of yummy food.
