Our co-op went on another fabulous field trip this week. The Washington County Museum of Fine Arts in downtown Hagerstown. It is in the city park which is worth a visit all by itself. They have all sorts of fun Christmas lights up so we're going to have to make a trip back at night just for those.
Anyhoo, the museum is great. It's FREE - my favorite price. The staff were very nice considering there were just 3 adults with a zillion grade school kids. Ok, not that many, but still...
The Jonathan Hager House is across the parking lot from the museum so the kids did a quick German Christmas Tradition tour there and then we fed the ducks, geese and swans that live in the pond at the park.
On the ride home, I asked the kids what they learned...
'we're not allowed to touch *anything* in an art museum'
I guess they were listening afterall. :)
