He's crawling on all fours!

Oh dear... Shane is now crawling on all fours. He was either rolling or doing a commando crawl to get around.

crawls....pulls self to standing...can go from tummy to sitting up...Sounds like a recipe for busy toddlerhood!

This little one also has quite the temper. He's a head banger if he doesn't get his way. He'll also kick his feet and scream *really* loud if you tell him no.

I thought when a kid was the youngest of several, they were supposed to be mellow and laid-back. I think Shane missed that class at baby university!

I'll try to get photographic evidence of his latest feat....kind of like stalking Big Foot or something. :)

oh my! I just turned around to see him hiking his chubby leg up to climb onto the train table...I'm having palpitations! This one may be my undoing! Thankfully he's too short, his legs are too chubby, and he's not strong enough to stand on one foot for any length of time!

It's time to decorate

This was the fun part without a doubt. Daddy put the lights on and then ran for cover leaving mommy to unwrap ornaments as fast as little hands could place them.

When they finished, all the ornaments were on the bottom in the front. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a picture of their creation. I was going to leave the tree like that but I was worried it would fall over with so much weight in the front.

We'll get some pictures of the finished product up eventually. In the meantime, you can enjoy these.

The Christmas Tree Hunt

12/3

Hank dug his toy saw out of the basement; we grabbed our jackets and off we went to find the perfect Christmas tree.

When we arrived at the tree farm the weather mysteriously changed and it was COLD. So we shivered and tromped through fields of trees looking for the one that would grace our home with its beauty.

Ella wore her pink cowboy boots. Fashionable, yes; functional, no. The fields were too bumpy for a stroller so I brought up the rear carrying Shane and half dragging Ella.

The Big Boys were off and running. This tree? Oh wait there's another one waaay over there! And then finally, they found the one for us. It was a little smaller than we'd hoped for but a nice tree nonetheless.

It was fun watching Jake try to be cool while Hank buzzed around in unashamed enthusiasm (like Jake did at that age)

Things may start to get interesting!

These pictures speak for themselves. Pray for me....my busyness quotient just skyrocketed!
This little guy is a fearless Destructo! Books, toys, dog hair (while still attached to the dog)...nothing is safe from his strong little hands. And he has quite a temper to boot. Good thing he's cute. :)

(the wet spot on his back is where he spit up while lying on the floor)
for some reason the pictures won't post in order. the one at the bottom is actually picture #2
